the beard transformation
at the farmers market today, billy got mistaken for sam beam, from iron and wine. and we thought it was funny—-i never really saw the resemblance. but then again, billy has been growing his beard out lately, and so we had to look again.
here’s what we found:
holy crap. i have to take an updated photo of billy, because he really is starting to look just like this! bah! funny.

take georges rousse, for example. the pink color field in this photograph is not applied digitally. this room is actually painted this way!
this link takes you to a video that explains how he does it (warning, it’s in french!). essentially he paints abandoned spaces with a specific camera perspective in mind, and creates the illusion of color fields and floating blocks!
