we made a look book!
hey y’all, come sneak a peek at the new look book we’ve put up for our classic collection! our good looking and talented friend chelsey was kind enough to model for us. she’s in town from san francisco working with us on a collaboration for our spring collection (very exciting…more details over the next couple of months!) so we totally exploited her on a glowy overcast day.
we’re featured on Etsy!!
hey y’all, we are pleased to announce that we’re featured on Etsy as their Quit Your Day Job post for this week! come take a look at some photos of our studio (back when it was clean!) and the interview with William & I.
we’re so honored to have been chosen and hope you like the story! now, back to work!
so, you know design*sponge, right? yeah, one of the most amazing design blogs on the internet. you know, where they have some of the best before & after posts.
and amazing and stylish diys!
yeah, that design*sponge. well, grace bonney (the inspiration who runs d*s) decided to post…
Hey y’all! If you haven’t started following our Son of a Sailor blog, get over there! We promise to try to make it interesting…
on a day that celebrates the economic and social contributions of workers, we have to take pause and be thankful that our work now involves creating art and jewelry, and not hard, physical labor, like many folks.
i, personally, am so thankful that william is no longer working out in west texas in…
son of a sailor on wander this way!
we just launched our new series of bracelets, the Pecos, and the response has been great! we’ve been selling them pretty quickly, and are rushing to order more supplies. we also just got our first blog mention, on wander this way!
i’ve been loving perusing her posts—-her blog is home to pretty pictures, projects she’s working on (and sells on her etsy shop) and inspirational products and art! ummm, pretty much my favorite things!
now, if i could only post with more consistency…eh. i’m busy making bracelets! : )
i’m a little crazy about bracelets right now…
we’ve got a few new designs at son of a sailor, and we’ll be bringing a new batch in to schatzelein soon! i am really liking the look of grouping multiples of simple and patterned bracelets together. now, i just need to save up for christine’s bangles to add to the mix…especially before she comes out with her new fall collection and i have a whole new wish list of things!
can i please love this blog more?
honestly…wtf. awesome name, awesome blog. i am totally in love with their DIY projects, and secretly wish i had come up with each and every idea! they have another bracelet diy which feeds into their current obsession (and mine) of stacking bracelets. i may have to go home and make some of these…but maybe i should finish some of the ideas that i have had lately first!

here’s son of a sailor’s latest iteration of the stacked bracelet, available on etsy:
check it out, we’re for real!
so, our etsy shop is in full bloom (more to add, all the time!) but now we’re live on Schatzelein’s website, too!
yee haw!
